Well as they said themselves, this was bound to happen, Z Car Garage have taken delivery of a 370z themselves to showcase upcoming offerings for the Z34 platform. Their Solid Red 370z stands out and they’ve already set it up with some standard Nissan GT-R 20″ wheels to give it an extremely aggressive stance.
Checkout their blog for more photos, a baseline dyno chart as well as updates as they explore the 370z tuning possibilities.
Japanese tuning legends Power House Amuse have come up with a range of their trademark top shelf quality exhausts for the new Nissan 370z. Launching in Japan this week they come in two main styles.
The first is the Power House Amuse R1 Titan Extra STTI. This features a 76.3mm main pipe diameter feeding into pair of 2x 50mm internal diameter mufflers before finally exiting out a pair of 115mm tips. This total system weighs in at 9.15kg which is less than half the weight of the 18.65kg standard exhaust. It’s available in the standard version for 239,400 yen or a “Gold Ring” version for 249,900 yen.
Next is the RS-Silent STTI muffler which is a little different, firstly a 76.3mm collector splits into 2x60mm pipes which make their way towards the rear mufflers through a pair of resonators. The rear mufflers have an internal diameter of 60mm and again the end in a pair of 115mm tips. This system is quieter but you pay for it in weight and material costs. Weighing in at 10.3kgs it starts at 333,900 yen for the standard version or 344,400 yen for the “Gold Ring” version.
Canadian designer Randy Rodriguez played a critical part in the design of the new 370z and CanadianDriver.com has recently spent some time with him to learn a bit about his role and his inspiration for his design.
The Hyundai Genesis – looks good on paper and it’s (in my opinion) derivative exterior is not too bad on the eye either. Does it translate into real world performance against competitors in it’s class?
Not really. This video shows the beauty of the VQ37 as it overpowers the Mustang GT’s V8 and easily dispenses with the Hyundai’s boat anchor. Is that too harsh?
STILLEN has completed their new intake for the 370z. Called the Generation 3 Ultra Long Intake – Gen3 for short – it’s good for an additional 17.5 hp on a standard Z.
While these may appear, at first glance, like a set of pod filters on a set of pipes, they actually extend further than your standard airbox. This results in them pulling colder outside air from just in front of the radiator and not from inside your hot engine bay. Smart eh.
Priced at $549 they’re available now online from the STILLEN website.
Mine’s have announced this week that the awaited and coveted Mine’s ESTA suspension is now available for the Nissan 370z / Fairlady Z Z34. The suspension is available in two specifications at different price levels depending on the springs chosen.
First up is the Mine’s ESTA suspension featuring Ohlins dampers and Eibach springs (picture at top). This set is fully height and damper adjustable and can lower the vehicle ride height by 25 – 40mm. Spring rates are 11.6k front and 10.0k rear. This set retails at the 386,400 yen mark.
Next is the Mine’s ESTA suspension featuring Ohlins dampers and Hyperco springs. These are also full adjustable for height and damper with the same ride height variance. The spring rates are slightly different in the rear 10.6k. These go for 417,900 yen.
MotorTrend test the new Z’s world first SynchroRev Match technology out and give it a brief review. I think it’s something that on the street everyday you might leave off but for a bit of a sporty drive on your favourite road or when you hit the track it might be good to experiment with.
If you like it great, the feature is there for you but if you’re a purist, fortunately, the off button is right there.
After opening a can on the 2010 Mustang GT on Edmunds last 370z article, they’ve now published the numbers and track impressions on their regular blog.
Impressive to say the least. Click the link for more eh?
This exhaust offers a modest power bump of about 12 hp and a bonus weight saving of around 4.5 kgs while gaining a more volumous exhaust note. Something every VQ37 needs!
Price is set at 72,450 yen and theyre taking orders now.
Chalk up another great review by the Autoblog team. This 370z review is glowing and will help you make up your mind in no time. The photo gallery ain’t half bad either.
