Rumor is out today that Nissan may be considering a hybrid setup for the 370z. Utilizing tech built for the Infiniti M range the 370z would be the worlds first hybrid sports car if so.
Possibly arriving for 2011 we’d say it’s unlikely to come to fruition but who knows.
In Edmund’s long term road test blog this week the 370z is the Car of the Week. One of the posts that caught my eye was this suspension walk around. Head over to the Edmunds site to check it out in full. Worth the time.
The Hyundai Genesis – looks good on paper and it’s (in my opinion) derivative exterior is not too bad on the eye either. Does it translate into real world performance against competitors in it’s class?
Not really. This video shows the beauty of the VQ37 as it overpowers the Mustang GT’s V8 and easily dispenses with the Hyundai’s boat anchor. Is that too harsh?
After opening a can on the 2010 Mustang GT on Edmunds last 370z article, they’ve now published the numbers and track impressions on their regular blog.
Impressive to say the least. Click the link for more eh?
Chalk up another great review by the Autoblog team. This 370z review is glowing and will help you make up your mind in no time. The photo gallery ain’t half bad either.
With a thumping V8 under the hood and a brand new revised handling package you may be thinking that the 2010 Mustang GT might be a lot of car for the 370z to go up against. The price tags are similar enough and they have two doors a piece but that’s about where the similarities end.
The Mustang seemed sloppy when it came time to use the steering wheel and downright dangerous when the road got twisty. In a straight line however they’re hard to split apart both going and stopping.
The Mustang wins when you need to take anyone anywhere with anything but the Z wins at being more of a focussed sports car.
Bottom line is the Z wins deservedly. Check the video and more photo galleries at Edmunds.com.
Car and Driver pit the 370z against the Mazda RX8, the Pontiac Solstice GXP, and the BMW 135i in their latest comparison test. The 370z does well in all categories to win the comparison while being the least expensive too.
Edmunds have added a brand new Z34 370z to their garage this week with the delivery of their 370z Touring Model with Sport Package. It joins the fleet as one of their long term test vehicles which will endure the day to day use of the Edmunds team who’ll keep us entertained with their blog posts from time to time.
Check out their introduction post and photo gallery at the link below.
If you’re not an owner yet and you’re undecided if you want to be changing gears yourself (hint: it’s a sports car – you do) well this might be an article for you. A bit of insight into how good the 370z’s 7-speed, paddle shifted, automatic gearbox is.
