TAS09: Mine’s 370z – All That And More

January 28th, 2009

tas09-370zblog-mines-105

The Mine’s 370z was truly one of the highlights of the show. One of the best known tuners in Japan had big expectations to live up to and in true Mine’s fashion it managed to live up to those expectations and exceed them by far.

New on the Mine’s Z is a dry carbon front lip spoiler, dry carbon fibre rear wing carbon antenna cover and dry carbon front Air Scoop Type-IIs in the standard front bumper. These subtle highlights offset the traditional white Mine’s colour scheme to perfection.

In terms of power, Mine’s has installed a Mine’s VX-ROM ECU, Mine’s VX-AIR Filter, engine oil cooler and a Mine’s Silence-VX PRO Titan II Titanium Exhaust.

Wheels are a new favourite, Rays Volk Racing TE37 Generation2 (G2) in 20″ size and behind those are a set of Cusco Type-RS coilovers. On the inside are Recaro SP-G seats with Takata MPH-340R harnesses.

Mine’s Test New Z at Fuji Speedway

December 12th, 2008

20081208-mines-15

Well it didn’t take long from Z launch day less than 2 weeks ago to a Mine’s tuned version doing laps at Fuji Speedway. That’s exactly what was happening this week though as Mine’s had Keiichi “Drift King” Tsuchiya out testing settings in the new car during the Bridgestone Potenza Exciting Stage Event 2008 (PES2008).

Modifications on the Mine’s Z34 include a Mine’s tuned ECU, Mine’s titanium exhaust, Mine’s front pipe, Mine’s catalytic converters, oil cooler, Mine’s air filters, Ohlins Mine’s full suspension, Mine’s brake pads, Recaro seats, Takata harnesses, Mine’s LSD and Bridgestone Potenza RE11 tires.

While there were up to 30 cars on the track making it impossible to get a clear lap, Tsuchiya said the improved rigidity of the new Z really works to it’s advantage on the circuit. The standard brake pads however were not up to the track work and would need replacement.

While at PES2008 Z Car World also got a few inside details about what exactly Mine’s will be offering for the Nissan 370z in the near future, the answer is – quite a lot. Check out the list:

  • Mine’s VX-ROM ECU (tuned OEM ECU) – 100,800 yen
  • Mine’s Silence VX-PRO Titan II Muffler – In Development
  • Mine’s Stainless Front Pipe – 52,500 yen
  • Mine’s Super Catalyzer II – 155,400 yen
  • Mine’s VX Panel Filters – 2,604 yen
  • Mine’s Esta Full Suspension System – In Development
  • Mine’s Original Brake Pad (Winmax) – In Development
  • Mine’s Type-II Carbon Aero Mirrors – In Development
  • Mine’s Carbon Front Underspoiler – In Development
  • Mine’s Carbon Rear Wing – In Development
  • Mine’s Type-II Carbon Air Scoop – In Development
  • Mine’s Carbon Roof Antenna Cover – 25,200 yen
