MotorTrend test the new Z’s world first SynchroRev Match technology out and give it a brief review. I think it’s something that on the street everyday you might leave off but for a bit of a sporty drive on your favourite road or when you hit the track it might be good to experiment with.
If you like it great, the feature is there for you but if you’re a purist, fortunately, the off button is right there.

HKS fill out more of their exhaust lineup for the 370z this week when they released the HKS Stainless Center Pipes for Nissan Z34. The stainless dual pipe exhaust system consists of 2x 60.5mm diameter pipes in 3 sections each. Up front is a flex join and down south is a resonator to eliminate the drone at highway speeds. Made from SUS304 stainless steel this exhaust should free up some horsepower especially when combined with the HKS muffler.
The exhaust note on the standard 370z is extremely quiet so it’s good to see a range of affordable exhausts reaching the market. These HKS Stainless Center Pipes will set you back 102,000 yen.

This S-Tune 370z is the first example we’ve seen outside of Nissan’s press photos so far. It was spotted in Japan by a keen observer.
Comforting to know it’s already out there.

The Z34 Fairlady Z, or as we like to call it, the Nissan 370Z is hitting the market any day now. For about a month rumours and photos have been flying around about the Nismo tuned version of it and today we received the the leaked brochure so we can now show you these photos from the brochure of the Nismo S-Tune Z34 as well as provide a bit more information.
Two S-Tune option packages will be available with the 370Z straight from the dealership, this aligns with Nissan’s previously announced migration of the light tune business away from the core Nismo business.
The first package is simply the Nismo S-Tune Aero Package and comes with a promise of improved aerodynamic performance, zero lift and higher downforce with an insignificant effect on the drag (Cd) value. The aero package comes with:
The second package is the Nismo S-Tune Performance Package and gets you several cool upgrades such as:
Pricing for the Nismo optional extras does not appear to be announced yet. The fully optioned 370Z (Fairlady Z Version ST) comes in at 4,357,500 yen (inc tax) with the six speed gearbox, 4,462,500 yen (inc tax) with the seven speed auto box. Expect the Nismo versions to come at a premium over that in the order of a few hundred thousand yen.
