Japanese tuning house Pro Stock Racing have been quietly having a go at building their own 370z for circuit work and so far we like where they are heading. Spotted out on Tsukuba circuit during the recent Z Challenge round #1 event, Pro Stock managed to take home the first trophy of the season winning with a best lap of 1:04.664 in very wet conditions.
1:04.664 in such a torrent is a very quick time, too bad it wasn’t dry so we could really see what this car could manage. Round #2 is coming up later in June on the 28th.

Nissan Europe will apparently be producing a special Z package to celebrate Nissan’s participation in the Nurburgring 24hrs in late May. The special edition should feature a few tempting upgrades over the standard Z including a set of 19″ OZ Racing wheels, a Cobra performance exhaust and a Nurburgring “gift” card that covers entry into the circuit up to the value of 150 euros. Nice.
The downside is the color, it will only be available in eye bleeding yellow.
Price is 50,400 euros.

Phoenix Power aren’t aero designers. They’re more than happy to take what they see working on the car and run with it. That is, they’ll tune the car but leave making it pretty up to the experts. In the case of their GT-R project it was a full Zele kit and for the Nissan 370z it’s BRANEW.
I bet you didn’t think the BRANEW kit could look this good or be seen on a “real” tuner’s project car, but here it is. Wearing BBS LM’s that Phoenix Power have proven to be quite partial to, it looks the business. These rims certainly look more suitable than the humongous BRANEW BW-101 22″ wheels we saw at Tokyo AutoSalon.

While popular at Tokyo AutoSalon in January the IMPUL 934S aero kit was certainly controversial in it’s design. IMPUL have gone back to the design phase and reworked the front end completely. The rear half bumper, side skirts and wing remain but the updated front bar is joined by a new front lip spoiler to complement.
Overall the look is better than ever.

Outside of motor shows have you ever seen something similar outside Japan?

Rumor is out today that Nissan may be considering a hybrid setup for the 370z. Utilizing tech built for the Infiniti M range the 370z would be the worlds first hybrid sports car if so.
Possibly arriving for 2011 we’d say it’s unlikely to come to fruition but who knows.
